Our ecumenical Prayer Nights happen several times a month, and everyone is welcome to join us! Prayer Nights are held on Wednesday nights from 7:30 to 8, with tea and cookies afterwards. For more information, including location, get in touch with Wyndham Thiessen, Community Leader, at 262-7243 or wthiessen@larchesaskatoon.org.

Upcoming Prayer Nights will be on January 25, February 8, February 29, March 14, and March 21.

WHEN: Wednesday, February 15, 5:30 to 8 pm

We’ll gather at 5:30, have a pizza and salad dinner at 6:00, do some fun activities together, and enjoy each other’s company! If you are able to bring a salad or dessert to share, that would be helpful.

WHERE: Grace-Westminster United Church hall, 505 – 10 Street East

The church is one block west of Broadway. There is a wheelchair ramp on the east side of the hall.

We ask for a $5 donation to cover costs (students free).

L’Arche Saskatoon newsletter – Fall 2009

In September 2008, Steve Halabura, Chair of the L’Arche Saskatoon Board, ran his third sponsored Queen City Marathon for L’Arche Saskatoon, and Vlad Zavadskyi, an assistant at Christopher House, ran his first Marathon. Both completed the 42.5 kilometre run in about 4 hours, and together they raised more than $14,000 for L’Arche Saskatoon.

Many thanks also to Robert Sanche for providing water and encouragement to our athletes, as well as transportation home following the race.

We are all proud of their achievement in the Marathon. The pictures show the smiles of success after the hard work of the Marathon run.
